Attending District Court Hearings Via Zoom

If for some reason you are not able to attend your scheduled hearing in person, you may be able to access the proceeding via zoom or by dialing in and following the below listed instructions:

  1. In your browser, type in “Missoula District Court Calendars” and click on the following link:  https://www.missoulacounty.us/government/civil-criminal-justice/district-court/court-calendars

  2. Next, find the presiding judge for your case and click on the “zoom virtual session” link associated with the judge's name. This will take you to the page “Zoom Courtroom Call-In Information by Department”.

  3. Next, again find the presiding judge and write down the password listed directly below the link. You will need this to enter into the session.

  4. To access via Zoom, click on the “Join Zoom Meeting” link. This will bring up a screen which asks if you wish to enter the Zoom meeting. Click on the “Open zoom meeting ” tab.

  5. The next screen will prompt you to enter the password you wrote down earlier. Enter it here and click the “Join meeting” tab. The clerk of court controls who enters the session and may inquire who you are and the name of the case which you are awaiting. They may also choose to place you in a waiting area until your case is called.

  6. An alternative way to attend the hearing is by the telephone call-in information provided on the “Zoom Courtroom Call-In Information by Department” directions.

  7. Once on the page, scroll down to “Dial in by telephone” prompt which list both long distance and local (406) dial in numbers. Using this feature will require you to enter both the password and the meeting ID number listed under the judge’s name. The clerk of court will follow the same verification procedure as listed above.
